Winsham Parish Council held its first meeting on
December 13th 1894,chaired by Col. Cornish Henley . Mr Walter Northcombe
became Parish Clerk, a post that he held until 1933.Winsham was one of the
first Parish Councils to be formed following the enabling legislation
introduced earlier in the year. The meeting was held then, as now in the

The Parish Council meets on the first Wednesday of
every month (except August) at 7.30pm ,Committee Room, Jubilee Hall, Church
Street,Winsham,TA20 4HU.
The Parish Office in the New Meeting Room, Jubilee Hall, is open between
10.00am-Noon first Tuesday of each month. At present the Office(2009)
opening is suspended during the Summer months, and is likely to re-open in the
Autumn.
