Winsham Web Museum

The principle role of the Winsham Web Museum is to present the history of the parish for the education, interest and entertainment of the people of Winsham, using the Internet as its main platform. Helpers are needed for involvement in local history projects as well as the recording of current events for posterity. Galleries contain hundreds of photographs and other illustrations, and many thousands of words of text recording the history of many aspects of life in Winsham over a thousand years. A free genealogical service is available for visitors to the Web Museum. Launched in May 2002, updated by a 'SEcond Edition' in2009, it is believed to be the first village Web Museum in the U.K. Contact: John Sullivan (30026).
